This new inner hub can be used with, or without, the lock up. Many of the fastest hayabusa's in the country are using the hub. It elliminates the factory rachet assembly, giving you the ability for perfect hole shots, either stop light to stop light, or at the dragstrip. You have to have this inner hub to use a MTC lock up or a MTC multi stage lock on your Hayabusa. The MRE lock ups do not require these, but will work with them if you have one.
